Denali at 100, A Living Legacy Photo Contest
12/1/2017 UPDATE – Photos have moved to the final round of judging, and the winning photos will be announced by December 31st.
The Ted Stevens Foundation, with support from the Denali National Park Service is pleased to announce that entries for the Denali at 100, A Living Legacy Photo Contest will be accepted between September 15, 2017 through October 15, 2017 at 4pm AKST.
Throughout his 40 years of service in the U.S. Senate, Senator Ted Stevens was committed to balancing conservation of Alaska’s public lands with traditional uses and access. The Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, known as ANILCA, created over 104 million acres of conservation system units, including 54 million acres of land managed by the National Park Service that are accessible for a variety of recreational uses. This monumental piece of legislation is a testament to Senator Ted Stevens’ lifelong commitment to ensuring public access for all people.
This year, we honor Senator Ted Stevens’ legacy by celebrating Denali National Park and Preserve’s milestone 100th birthday through the inspiring lens of photography.
